Kudos to Mr. Keeney and Mr. Nelson for your hours of hard work painting a beautiful mural for students to enjoy. It looks great! #GGUSDPride Principal's Message Dear Parents, Welcome back to school! Thank you to our parents who have been volunteering their time helping at breakfast, lunch or recess, and thank you also to those parents who have joined our PTO. Because of you, we have more help than ever before and we are very grateful for the extra benefit our students will receive with your service. Many parents have been able to be a part of our “Project 2 Inspire” and our GRIP II parent groups. Thank you to those who have volunteered as Parent Greeters. We are lucky to have all of our parent volunteers. If you are interested in being a part of any of our parent groups or would like more information, please call the office. We have some exciting upcoming school activities. You can see what events are coming by checking the calendar part of our site. It’s on the home page, on the right hand side. Our caring, supportive teachers provide a strong academic program that led to an impressive 18% growth on rigorous state standardized tests. Students take advantage of free after-school interventions and enrichment opportunities in English Language Arts and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Eisenhower has 1:1 computer to student ratio and students engage with innovative technology tools as part of daily instruction. Beyond instructional time in the classroom, Eisenhower students benefit from robotics and coding programs that equip students with 21st Century STEM skills and includes fun competitions. Many students take advantage of the school's visual and performing arts opportunities. Students enjoy the popular Disney Musicals in Schools program, an exciting annual student production of some of students’ favorite fairy tales. Eisenhower offers a robust College and Career Mentoring Program pairs elementary students with college students who serve as positive role models, provide help with school work, and promote positive self-esteem. We also partner with local law enforcement for the Orange County GRIP program which provides students with free tutoring, counseling, mentoring, scholarship incentives, and field trip opportunities. Students at all levels enjoy fun field trips that bring learning to life. Our school-wide Running and Walking Club promotes healthy, active scholars. Eisenhower has supportive and engaged parents who help plan events and create connected school community. We have a modernized school campus with air-conditioning in every classroom.
